Jelena Drakulić - Petrović has been leading the media company Ringier Serbia, which has 500 employees, for 16 years. The company generates over 30 million euros in revenue and achieves an operating profit margin of 12% (2023). Since becoming CEO in 2008, she has successfully led the media business, known for its financial stability and growing profitability. In 2010, with the introduction of an integrated newsroom with a clear vision and strategy for content synergy between print and online, she continued to modernize operations in the form of digitalization implementation and technology development. From 2006 to 2008, she was the Publishing Director at Ringier, where she participated in the harmonization of operational management, developing strategies for existing titles, and creating new projects. As Marketing Director of Ringier d.o.o. in 2004, she played a crucial role in expanding the company’s portfolio, introducing brands such as Blic žena, acquiring a printing house, and the successful privatization of the NIN weekly. Since 2013, she has managed the Blic Foundation, which supports socially vulnerable children. On behalf of our media company, in 2014, she co-founded the Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, she was the initiator and one of the founders of the Digital Serbia Initiative, which aims to position Serbia as the center for digital innovation in the region. In order to further develop business, she expanded the digital portfolio in 2022 by launching the Blic TV cable channel. She graduated in English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, and holds a Harvard Business School Executive Education program degree.
