At the 33rd Kopaonik Business Forum, during the “Swiss Way” reception organized by the Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, 110 years of Swiss-Serbian diplomatic relations were marked, along with the anniversaries of companies that have been operating in Serbia for decades, including Ringier. The event brought together representatives of Swiss companies, the diplomatic corps, and the business community
For Ringier Serbia, this year carries special significance, as the company is celebrating 30 years of operations in Serbia. As Jelena Drakulić-Petrović, CEO of Ringier Serbia and a member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, emphasized in an interview with Blic Biznis: “We are one of the most significant Swiss investments in the country and the region, and I believe that through our success we have demonstrated that the Swiss way of thinking, doing business, and the constant pursuit of Swiss quality can certainly endure and deliver results in our market, above all in Serbia.”
In the same interview, Jelena Drakulić-Petrović also recalled an important Blic milestone, noting that Blic was founded exactly 30 years ago, on September 16, 1996 — evolving from the leading daily newspaper at the time into the leading news portal today.
One of the key messages of this year’s Kopaonik Business Forum concerned technological innovation and the application of artificial intelligence in business. Speaking on this topic, Jelena Drakulić-Petrović stated: “There is absolute awareness, both in the private and public sectors, that the implementation of artificial intelligence is a necessity. It is not something we can or should avoid; rather, it represents a major opportunity for our future.”
