Felix Oberholzer-Gee, Professor at Harvard Business School and Member of the Board of Directors of Ringier AG, delivered a lecture in Belgrade titled “Managing in the Time of AI” to an audience of business leaders. He spoke about how artificial intelligence is transforming the way companies are managed, emphasizing that AI becomes more effective when its goals are clearly defined, rather than simply being added into existing processes.

The lecture of the renowned professor was introduced by Jelena Drakulić Petrović, CEO of Ringier Serbia, who was once a student of Professor Felix at Harvard Business School. One of the professor’s key takeaways was that true transformation comes only when companies redesign their processes, instead of using technology merely to automate existing tasks. AI can significantly increase productivity and performance, but the key remains human decision-making and the ability to use technology to create new value.

The event attracted great interest from the business community and brought together leading figures from both domestic and international companies, including the top representatives of the Swiss media group Ringier AG – Chairman of the Board of Directors Michael Ringier, Vice Chairman Urs Berger, board members Roman Bargezi, Evelyn Lingg, Michèle Rodoni, Anna Mossberg, and Stefan Mäder, as well as Professor Oberholzer-Gee himself. In addition, key members of the company’s top management came to Belgrade – Ladina Heimgartner, Head of Media & CEO Ringier Media Switzerland, and Michael Moersch, CEO Ringier Media International & Head Global Media Unit.
