The international Swiss media group Ringier AG was launched with the aim of increasing the visibility and professional presence of women in the media, and the media company Ringier Serbia has also joined. EqualVoice aims to reduce the gender visibility gap in terms of male and female representation in the media, which can be observed globally.  <\/p>\n<p>According to a 2016 analysis by the Global Media Monitoring Project. Men account for 82% of media appearances worldwide. The under-representation of women as representatives of a particular branch of science, profession or professional field denies public awareness, diversity and the development of current and future generations of talents, opinions and ultimately more female role models.<\/p>\n<p>  Recognizing the imbalance between women and men in media reporting, the Swiss group Ringier AG in 2019. launched its EqualVoice initiative. Based on the EqualVoice Factor semantic algorithm developed by Ringier, Ringier measures the proportion of women and men in its media brands&#8217; online reports. The scientifically documented confirmation is 2022. The EqualVoice Factor was validated by ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology).<\/p>\n<p>  On the occasion of the launch of the EqualVoice initiative in Serbia, Anabela Basler, CFO of Ringier AG and founder of the EqualVoice program; Lea Eberle, Head of Strategy at EqualVoice; Katia Murman, co-founder of EqualVoice and Sefan Mair, journalist of Handelszeitung and head of editorial training for EqualVoice, visited the editorial offices of Ringier Serbia in Belgrade.<br \/>\n  &#8220;EqualVoice shows us how things really are. The EqualVoice Factor transforms an emotional issue into a fact-based discussion and action-oriented solution. This, in turn, leads to measurable changes, as we see in the Ringier Group. It is all the more valuable that we can now offer our EqualVoice Factor to other companies,&#8221; summed up Anabela Basler, CFO of Ringier AG and founder of the EqualVoice initiative.<br \/>\n  Semantic algorithm EqualVoice Factor, as of 2019. analyses Ringier&#8217;s Swiss media brands \u2013 including Blick, Beobachter, Bilanz, Cash, Handelszeitung, GaultMillau and Schweizer Illustrierte, and since 2021. Polish media products of Ringier Axel Spinger Polska such as Forbes Women, Business Insider, Newsweek.<br \/>\nIn 2022, Axel Springer SE joined the EqualVoice initiative and since then the EqualVoice Factor has been used in B.Z.-Berlin, Berlin&#8217;s largest tabloid, and the editorial integration has been tested since January 2022. in B.Z. Digital (B.Z. online edition). Best practice models for analysis and measurement are being developed from the pilot program and will be successively applied to other media brands such as Bild and DIE WELT.<br \/>\n  From 2023. In addition to the Ringier brands in Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, Ringier Serbia&#8217;s brands such as Blic.rs, \u017dena.rs and Pulsonline.rs joined this international initiative.<br \/>\n  Data analysis for the first quarter of 2023 In 2015, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Serbia showed that women are present in 41% of the most read portal Blic.rs in headlines and texts, while in 38% of cases they can be seen in photographs. On the showbiz portal Pulsonline.rs, women are recorded in 61% of headlines, 59% of texts and 62% of photos. \u017dena.rs has the highest percentage of photo posts showing women, considering that they are present in 67% of cases, while they are mentioned in 63% of headlines and 57% of texts.<br \/>\n  At the workshop held in Belgrade, the editorial teams of Ringier Serbia presented some examples of current practice and presented their strategies for improving gender balance, taking into account the specifics, readership and brand goals of each of the publications.<br \/>\n  &#8220;Joining the EqualVoice initiative is a logical step for Ringier Serbia, since for more than 20 years we have been moving things forward in our society with quality journalism and representing values that oppose any discrimination, not only on the basis of gender. This is supported by the fact that more than 55% of employees in our company are women, while 59% of them are in managerial positions.
