Heart for Children
The Blic Foundation, established in 2013, focuses on the well-being and ensuring better living conditions for Serbia's most socially and materially disadvantaged children.
Over the years, as part of the "Heart for Children" campaign, we have raised funds for children's hospitals, maternity wards, clinics, and shelters, renovated or purchased homes for children, and provided furniture, appliances, clothing, toys, and all necessities to ensure that children have a carefree childhood and their families a dignified life.
Homes for Our Youngest
With the help of good people, we have built 10 houses in Obrenovac for families who lost their homes in floods, renovated over 14 houses for families with more children, and furnished them with furniture, appliances, and toys... Our greatest satisfaction is seeing smiles and joy on children's faces and their brighter and better "tomorrow."
Donations for Medical Institutions
We raised funds to reconstruct the only pediatric eye department at the Ophthalmology Clinic within the Clinical Center of Serbia (KCS) and the Neurology Department at Valjevo Hospital. We refurbished the milk kitchen at the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care, helped the Pediatric Neurosurgery at KCS, provided screening hearing devices for all maternity wards in Serbia, equipped them with air conditioners, renovated Gynecology Department and part of the maternity ward in Vršac, donated medical equipment, emergency ambulance vehicles, and renovated the laundry room at the hospital in Bor. In the "Four Ultrasounds for Four Hospitals" campaign, the General Hospital Vršac, Special Hospital for Pulmonary Diseases "Dr. Budisav Babić" from Bela Crkva, General Hospital Pančevo, and the Dr Vukan Cupic Institute for Health Protection of Mother and Child Serbia in Belgrade each received an ultrasound machine. The Children's Hospital for the Treatment of Pulmonary Diseases KBC "Dragiša Mišović," the only hospital treating children with COVID and tuberculosis, received new beds and nightstands for small patients in intensive care.
For Children in Shelters
About 400 children from shelters received sweets, laptops, computers, and other equipment needed for schooling to make their education easier, get them off the streets, and make their way through life thanks to their knowledge and education.
Olympians with Heart for Children from Zvečanska
With the Olympic Committee of Serbia, we organized a charity auction for children from the Center for the Protection of Infants, Children, and Youth "Zvečanska." Thanks to our most successful athletes who donated their cherished memories from the Olympic Games for the auction, we raised a million dinars in an incredible span of ten days to help children without parental care.
74,000 Books for Boys and Girls
The Blic Foundation's long-term mission included the "Books for Children" campaign, which was just one of many successful ones. Knowing how important it is for children to adopt a love of books and reading from an early age, we collected 74,000 books donated to libraries in 400 schools and 175 kindergartens across Serbia.
