Digital Serbia Initiative

The Digital Serbia initiative is a non-profit NGO launched in 2017 by Ringier Axel Springer Serbia in collaboration with leading technology companies to enhance the framework and ecosystem necessary for fostering technological entrepreneurship and digital innovations in industry and education in Serbia.

Alongside our media company, the founding members included Infostud, Microsoft, Nordeus, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Seven Bridges, Startit, Telekom Serbia, and Telenor, with the Board of Directors comprising representatives from these founding companies.

All association activities aim to improve the framework and investment climate required for technological entrepreneurship and innovations in the Serbian IT industry and enhance digital literacy and education in the digital economy.

The Digital Serbia Initiative follows the success model of the "Digital Switzerland" association, which involves a partnership between companies, government bodies, and the scientific community in Switzerland. The initiative was launched in 2015 by Mark Walder, CEO of Ringier AG.
